how can you prevent razor bumps when shaving around the genital area..

go slower, use a sharp blade, and use conditioner instead of shaving cream. Also don't go against the hair growth first go with it then you can go the other way to get closer.

well you could possibly use your own personal siccors instead if you want. Or if you want to stick to the shaving don't shave on the skin. Pull up the pubic hair and shave fromt the top of the hair and work your way down. After shaving put just a little bit of lotion in the area where the top of underear line is. Oh yah and also use a different shaver than the usual one you use for your legs, armpits, etc. And use a disposal [[GOOD]] one and dispose of it every two weeks. And buy a new one when done.

I can help you out with that you can trying changing up on the shaving cream you proably want to find a shaving cream with more lather to it so the razor will shave smoothly.
Tip: It would be a good idea if you find a shaving cream that includes gel with aloe vera
The harder the water is the harder it'll be to shave, and if you shave to hard you get razor bumps and they HURT!!!!
or try changing up on the razor maybe you need a 3 blade razor.

When the wind blows, the grasses would bent to the way the wind blows. Same thing. Just do this..Soften the hair with shaving cream and leave for a minute or two. Shave it with a sharp razor in such a way that it follows windwards. Hairs never grows perpendicular to the skin but they tend to bend someway or the other. Don't go against. Fly from the back of the hair n you will never get a bump. Try it...
