im a 14 year old girl, and i am 95% convinced that have depression.
this feeling has been going on since the beginning out october but it got really bad at the beginning of november.
- i always feel lonely, even when im with people
-im always hungry, but when i eat i loose my appitite.
-i feel empty inside
-i always feel sad
-i usually only feel like sleeping.
-i have had thoughts about suicide but then i think of my family, and that stops me from doing it.
-sometimes i cry for no reason(usually when im alone)
- i feel invisible and that nobody even cares about me.
-i never want to go out with friends anymore, but i force myself to.
-im not happy with who i am
-i dont think that life is worth living
- i started eating healthy and exercising but that didnt change anything.
-i honestly wish i wasnt alive.
i use to never be like this. 2 years ago, i use to be an out going person and i had alot of friends. i was captain of the cheerleading team. i use to win cheerleading awards and academic awards. people respected me. i wasnt scared to just go up and start talking to new people. i wasnt scared to stand up in class. i was so happy. now, i dont even look people in the eye. i dont want to go out for any sports or activities. i dont participate in class. im nothing. im worthless and i dont want to be alive. ive been thinking about going to the school councelor, but what good would that do.
do you think i have depression?

Sounds like it. I had it once but I chose not to see anyone and it sort of went away. It might be best to talk with a trusted friend or family member and see if they can help.
I am not a link. Leave me alone
Join a depression self-help group. You will also learn and be able to share coping skills. When you feel sad, with or without a reason, and you are sick and tired from feeling this way endlessly, there are some relaxation techniques that can help you to take charge again in an easy and gentle way. Get a paper and pen. Make yourself comfortable and put on some soft, relaxing music. As you sit or lie comfortably listening to the mellow music, make a list of things that you feel might be contributing to your depression. Good luck.
